Vickie's Fireball Quilt

This quilt is to die for! ALL flannels and herringbone grays and plaid reds and woven looks and soft and heavy and just waiting for a long winter night!  Wish it was mine!
But Vickie made it for her brother, Wayne and she says she knows he will appreciate it! Lucky Wayne!

The piecing is so precise, it has to be, as every seam has to meet up with the next guy and there isn't any way around it and Vickie did a tremendous job!

Pickup Sticks was the quilting pattern.

Mulch was the thread used. It brought out the browns in the red fabrics and blended beautifully with the gray/green/brown grays. They are the chameleon fabrics that turn colors depending on the threads and the light.

And these dark gray patches are so neat in the corners of the blocks.

The backing!
