Ann found this quilt in some of what had belonged to her mother. She believes that the embroidery was done years ago by her grandmother and had just never been quilted by her or Ann's mother. Ann has a new great granddaughter, Lyla, so this special quilt will be for her that was made by Lyla's great, great, great grandmother! Notice the kinds of animals. The great great great grandmother had lived in Minnesota so this makes sense when you see the animals embroidered on the quilt.
