Lois's Solsnu Quilt

Lois got this quilt pattern from the Quiltmania magazine #107 where it was featured on the cover. The quilt name is Norwegian in origin and refers to the winter and summer Solstice festivals. Lois wanted a challenge and she found the appropriate fabrics, added a bit of her own stash with memories attached and created this interesting and beautiful quilt!

The center medallion, paper pieced and covered with a rose wreath pattern in the quilting.

Apple leaf patterns surround the center medallion.

Another leaf pattern surrounds those apple leaf patterns.

Denali triangles are next around the stem of the corner flowers.

Feather Fantasy borders are in the light rose fabrics.

The green border has a border of roses.

The 4 patches have Feather cornerstone 002 quilting on them.

The toile blocks have the grid and frame large quilting pattern.

The top and bottom orders have  the Feather Piano Key Border 001 pattern on them.

The two side borders have an apple leaf border on them.

Creek Bed was the thread color on the entire quilt.

The corner flower has the Denali triangle on it.

Three of the borders.

The top border.

Toile blocks, a great addition to the quilt.

The back of the quilt.

This is a great quilt and even better to look at in person! Great job, Lois!
