Betty's Flight of Fancy Quilt

Betty has finished her red-work embroidery on this Crab Apple Hill pattern called Flight of Fancy.

Twelve different birds are embroidered on alternate blocks in the quilt.

A four patch with a set in piece makes up the alternate block.

French General fabrics complete the quilt.

Quilted in Camel thread.

The border.

Swirling Birds was the quilting pattern used.

The corners of the borders.

Nice!

The backing which is muslin and not this dark color which did not photograph color-wise in this dark morning light!

Kathy's Quilt

Barb's daughter, Kathy, just bought her a new Bernina sewing machine with the stipulation that the first quilt that she made with it would be for her! Not a bad deal, I say!

Jubilee B2B was the quilting pattern Kathy chose.

Toca Orchid was the thread used.

The quilt pattern was a McCall's pattern based on a wonky block pattern.

The backing fabric!

Alyce's Double Wedding Ring Quilt

Alyce pieced this beautiful Double Wedding Ring. And anyone who has pieced this pattern or attempted to make this quilt knows that it is a lot of work!  Very nicely done!

I custom quilted it with feather patterns.

Praline Pink was the thread used.

Light issues again, hmmm... need to lighten up the photo area!

The backing which was WHITE fabric!

First Son's Quilt

Connie constructed this quilt out of clothing that had belonged to her first son and some of his cousins. It's a collection of memories of the early 70's and will make a great little quilt for a granddaughter or other family member.

Even seersucker fabrics are included to give the whole thing a great visual and textures.

White thread was used.

The pink borders really show the Sticky Buns quilting pattern.

Very nice!

The warm flannel backing!

Miss Whitney's Baby Quilt

Connie works with a teacher at the public schools and she is going to have baby #2 so this quilt is for that little girl due in June. What a great gift!

And of course the pattern had to be about the ABC's because she is a kindergarten teacher!

Light Hot Pink was used.

Baby Block Pano 001 was the quilting pattern.

The backing fabric!
