Christopher's Quilt

Christopher has just returned from Afghanistan and his mom, Connie, has made this quilt for him!
It will certainly be a warm nice welcome home, at least warm for next winter!

A soft blue minky border!

Stars and Loops was the quilting pattern used.

The soft minky backing that also has small stars in the fabric!

A Class on Curves

Lynn took a class on sewing curved pieces at the International Quilt Study Center  and then had all these blocks so she put this little quilt together and it's so cute!  Nicely done!

She added a turquoise border and a brown border here and there.

The quilting pattern was Wind Swirls.

The quilt was quilted with Keywest Lime thread.

Aussie Quilt is Done!

Remember the story of the Aussies and the Kiwi's coming to our house? Thank you Kay and Bruce!
This is what they left for us! Plus Joanne sent me the digitized quilting pattern called
Gum Nuts and Leaves by Joanne Knott of the Quilter's Quilter.
How wonderful is this??

The brilliant border fabric!

These four embroidered flowers are placed in each corner!

Embroidered A for Australia with the emu and kangaroo!

I quilted it in Sage Green.
All Australian and New Zealand fabrics!

They threw in this fabric because it had Nebraska on it!

One of my favorite fabrics!

The backing showing the quilt pattern.

I put a green floral binding on it.

The back label where all signed! So nice!

Meredith's Bowtie Quilt

Another hand pieced quilt by Meredith! This is a large
quilt and expertly done! She has each center of the
bow tie raised and just attached at the inner corners so
they are raised.  I custom quilted to allow for the
corners to keep free.  Excellent quilt!

White thread was used on the quilt.

The centers just stand up!

Custom quilted.
