Bolt, the Halloween Cat

Just had to add my grand cat, Bolt, for Halloween!

The Halloween Tree.......just in time!

Finally got my tree up, well, big stick, but it works for me! Now my ornaments are hanging just in time for Halloween! Now I have to start working on Valentine ornaments because I just signed up for a Valentine swap. I have until mid January so no rush....

Below are some of the Halloween ornaments that I received in the Halloween Swap.

Ruth's latest creation!

Ruth put this quilt together for her sister for Christmas. She will dearly love it up in the cold Minnesota regions! A very nice, soft warm quilt done in all flannels.
The lighter border panel.

A close view of the other panel.

Two border prints were used on this warm and cozy quilt! All flannels.
This shows the royal blue border on the quilt.
The quilt backing with Pine Cone Swirl done in Olive Drab thread.

The Great Apron Contest

The finished apron! I got first place in the contest at the retreat! The lights were the clincher!
I glitzed the snowflakes on the quilt.

I put red buttons on the two pockets.

I glitzed the reindeer's noses with a red crystal.

The top portion of the apron with a string of flashing lights attached.
This shows the light bulbs sewed to the bottom of the apron. One by one......

The back of the fabric. I used a snowflake quilting pattern and golf thread.

What's a quilt retreat without cupcakes! Soooooo cute!
There was a whole lot of sewing going on! Some people did the mystery quilt class while others leisurely did their own thing, finishing up quilts right and left! So much fun!
